Integrity Talks – “Work As A Worship/ Ibadah”

PUTRAJAYA, 3 April 2015 – Human Resource Department of Legal Affairs Division in collaboration with Integrity Unit has organized a talk on Integrity namely “Work as a Worship/Ibadah” presented by YBrs. Dr. A. Bakar Sarpon, Deputy President of the Malaysian Institute of Integrity.

Work defined as “the determination carried out by humans to get reward or remuneration”. Worship means “conformity and obedience to the height and power of Allah SWT accompanied by willingness surrendered to Him”. Work as an act of worship means “duties or responsibility for revenues and to get pleasure of Allah”.

The participants of the talk, The Legal Affairs Division, Legal Aid Department and Insolvency Department of Malaysia were reminded to appreciate variety of ethical values to everyday work done which can be considered as ibadah, for example must be trustworthy, honest and dedicated in carrying out their duties.

It was estimated that a total of 100 officers and staff of The Legal Affairs Division, Legal Aid Department and Insolvency Department of Malaysia attended the talk.
