Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Law), YB Datuk Liew Vui Keong : New Year's Message
Putrajaya, January 10 - Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Law), Datuk Liew Vui Keong, said the concept Rule of Law or in Bahasa Malaysia; ‘kedaulatan undang-undang’ is the situation in which all parties within a country include ordinary citizens and the governing governments subject to the same law.
According to him, the concept of rule of law can be seen practically in a court system accessible to the community, the process is inexpensive and open to the public in which all walks of life get access to justice.
He further added, to ensure the rule of law in Malaysia is always at its best; the rule of law needs to be assessed through its implementation and enforcement. The use of this rule of law must be fair and equitable and based on a transparent legal system. Transparent integrity systems and institutions are backed by effective, effective, clear legal, judicial and judicial bodies and Judiciary, the best court structure and trustworthy and sincere law practitioners.
He stressed that the application of the rule of law has always been the government's axis in ensuring that any policies and policies are up to date, fair and accountable to the law being enforced. In this context, the application of the rule of law can be seen through the initiative of the government to amend, abolish or draft several existing legislation.
He said at the New Year's 2019 Mandate Council for employees under his jurisdiction as Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Law). Also present at the ceremony were YB Tuan Hanipa Maidin Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Law), Legal Affairs Division Director-General Datuk Jalil bin Marzuki, Deputy Chief Registrar of Court Datuk Hj. Aslam Bin Zainuddin, Dato 'Anas bin Ahmad Zakie, Director-General of Legal Aid Department Datuk Haini bin Hassan.
