Putrajaya, April 25 - YBhg. Datuk Jalil bin Marzuki, Director-General of BHEUU in his speech states that employees should be grateful as YAB Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, our Prime Minister on April 4, during the 16th Civil Service Premier Gathering announced nine incentives for civil servants and pensioners. The incentives announced are; additional annual salary increment, implementing promotion by time-based excellence for the implementer group by shortening the period to 10 years, extending medical benefits to parents of officers on contract of service, extending unrecorded leave for a maximum of seven days for non-Muslim civil servants to perform religious activities, annual contribution RM3 million to Cuepacs, creating Grade DG56 for education service officers, one-off 1% increase in pension, allocating a quota for members of the government pensioners associations to perform the Haj and providing special grants of RM1 million to the government pensioners associations.
He added that the incentives given shows that the government’s concern in looking after the welfare of civil servants. Therefore, all employees must be committed in carrying out their duties and responsibilities to support the government in developing the country.
He also expressed his appreciation to all employees in conjunction with Labor Day which celebrates and honors the contributions of workers in national development and commemorates the community on the role of workers.
He also reminded all employees to vote and make wise choices for the future of the country.
He said this in his speech at the BHEUU Monthly Assembly here today.
