EXCELLENT SERVICE AWARD (APC) YEAR 2018 CLUSTER OF JUDICIAL AND LEGISLATION MANAGEMENT

Putrajaya, April 30, 2019 - The Excellent Service Award (APC) in 2018 for Cluster of Judicial and Legislation Managmenet was officiated by Yang Berhormat Datuk Liew Vui Keong, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Parliamentary Law and Affairs) at Dewan Saksama, Level 2 , Legal Affairs Department, Putrajaya.

       A total of 152 civil servants from six agencies under the portfolio of the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Law and Parliamentary Affairs) received the awards. The related agencies are as follows:

i. Legal Affairs Division (13 officers);
ii. Advisory Board (3 officers);
iii. Legal Aid Department (36 officers);
iv. Malaysian Department of Insolvency (86 officers);
v. Judicial and Legal Training Institute (6 officers);
vi. Protection Division (6 officers);
vii. Law Minister’s Office (1 officer); and
viii. Deputy Law Minister's Office (1 officer).

       All APC recipients have undergone a process of assessment and consideration by the Human Resource Development Panel at their respective agencies. This recognition is an incentive given by the Government to those who have performed outstanding performance throughout the year 2018 in line with the inculcating of high-performance, innovative and Service Circular No. 13 of 2012.

       The Minister in his speech mentioned that every civil servant should give a personal emphasis on "character building" by acquiring knowledge, enhancing skills and practicing pure values as well as positive personal characteristics including integrity.

       He emphasised that people's expectations on public services are also increasing and require continuous renewal to remain relevant and effective in meeting the people's demands and expectations.

       Also present at the event were Yang Berbahagia Dato 'Junaidah binti Kamarruddin, Director-General of Law Affairs Division, Yang Arif Dato' Othman bin Yusof, Chairman of the Advisory Board, Yang Berbahagia Datuk Anita binti Haji Haron, Director-General of the Judicial and Legal Training Institute and Yang Berbahagia Dato 'Anas bin Ahmad Zakie, Director General of the Malaysian Department of Insolvency.
