Talk On Handling Classified Documents And Building Security

PUTRAJAYA, 30 November 2015 –  Human Resource Department, Legal Affairs Division in collaboration with the Office of the Chief Security Officer of the Malaysian Government had organized a talk entitled "Handling Classified Documents and Physical security". The talk on Physical Security was delivered by Mr. Mohd Rashid bin Che Abdullah, Deputy Director of the Personnel Security Division Handling Classified Documents. Meanwhile, the talk on “Handling Classified Documents” was delivered by Mr. Hisham bin Mohamad Adzrol, Assistant Director, Division of ICT Security Official from the Office of Secret & Chief Security Officer Government of Malaysia (CGSO).

The Government is now facing various security threats physically or through cyber space. Hence, the Government now felt obliged to raise awareness among civil servants, particularly in the field of security protection. With this regard, CGSO responsible for the planning, formulating, coordinating and implementing a security control system covers protection, physical security and private documents.

Government departments have also become the target for breach of security threats as being reported in media. In addition to that, the handling of files and documents is a management method that needs to be done properly by officers and staff in government departments and agencies. The main focus should be on the whole process of documenting of cohesive, management information, documents, records and official and files to contribute towards improving the quality of administrative management departments and agencies

It is estimated that a total of 120 of BHEUU, JBG and Mdl staffs attended the briefing session.
