Talk On “Di Mana Bumi Dipijak, Di Situ Langit Dijunjung” |
PUTRAJAYA, 29 October 2015- The Human Resource Department of Legal Affairs Division and Institute of Language and Literature jointly organized a lecture titled “Di mana bumi dipijak, di situ langit dijunjung”. The lecture was delivered by Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. Khoo Khay Kim.
Originally, the National Language Month was introduced in 1960s and known as the National Language Week. The campaign went through various changes of name such as Love Our Language Movement in 1986-1987, the National Language in Private Sector Movement in 1996-2005 and the Literature Week in 1987-1998. Finally, in 1999, the campaign rebranded as the National Language and Literature Month. The National Language and Literature Month Program were launched in 1999 by former Prime Minister, Tun Abdullah Haji Ahmad Badawi. In line with the aim of its implementation, in year 2009, the National Language and Literature Month known as the National Language Month.
It is estimated that a total of 150 officers and staff from The Legal Affairs Division, Legal Aid Department, Insolvency Department of Malaysia and representatives from various government agencies attended the talk.
