PUTRAJAYA, April 28, 2015 – Legal Affairs Division, Prime Minister’s Department, the secretariat of the Malaysia Law Reform Committee (JPUUM) organized a launching ceremony of Legal Forum 4U & Me on the 28th of April 2015 at Legal Affairs Division, Putrajaya.
The launching ceremony was held to introduce Legal Forum 4U & Me formally to all parties involved, especially higher education institutions. This is JPUUM’s effort to encourage participation of younger generation, especially students and young academics in the process of law reform.
YB Hajjah Nancy Shukri, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department has stated that legal reforms should be seen as a continuous culture. Therefore, everyone involved in law reform whether policies holders, legal experts or Malaysian citizens must always be aware and keep in mind that legal reforms are continuous as long as there is development and social change driven by internal or external factors.
The ceremony was attended by representatives from Government agencies, Law Faculty Deans, lecturers and students of both public and private higher educational institutions.
JPUUM welcomes agencies and other parties to come forward to support and collaborate with JPUUM in the engagement process related to legal reforms.
